John Douglass

With over 30 years of experience as a CADD and GIS Specialist at EPD, John Douglass plays a crucial role in the development and implementation phases of a project. John is the resident expert on all things CADD at the EPD office, and has a strong influence on the production and success of most construction documentation packages over the past 30 years.

His extensive experience with construction plans and construction methods helps EPD produce concise and clear drawing packages which aid in the success of the implementation of various design projects. John has been instrumental in compiling construction packages for recent constructed projects such as South Shore Riverfront Park, Indiana Multimodal Corridor, and Etna Riverfront Trail and Park.

In addition, John’s experience in GIS related projects include: comprehensive plans, zoning ordinances and mapping, greenway plans, master site plans, and natural infrastructure plans. Mr. Douglass has mastered and effectively utilizes the programs: Microstation, GeoPak, ArcMap, ArcView, ArcGIS, Spatial Analyst, and other GIS/CADD packages.

Mr. Douglass received his Bachelors of Science in Electrical Engineering at the University of Pittsburgh and his Associate of Science in Drafting and Design Technology at Gateway Technical Institute.
